Site Origination and Land Acquisition Specialist 

Job description

Solar Cents is seeking a site acquisition specialist to join its rapidly growing clean energy consulting business that is focused on:

  • Site Acquisition for community solar projects in the New Jersey market
  • Relationship building and customer support

Day-one deal exposure and a flat team structure

Responsibilities:

  • Identification of sites
  • Property owner/ tenant negotiations
  • Management of site origination and leasing or land purchases

 

Requirements:

  • Internal motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Successful track record in land or site acquisition (at a top-tier developer, energy company or real estate company)
  • Knowledge real estate is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of solar development is a plus, but is not required

As a Business Development Representative,you will lead a team of dedicated employees to identify and pursue strategic company goals within our target markets. Solar Cents, LLC is a consulting company focused on the expansion of commercial and industrial solar facilities. Solar Cents facilitates the project feasibility and relationship between investors and business owners to lease commercial rooftops and parking lots and provide revenue and savings for the property owner and tenant. We provide an array of solar solutions to our clients and would like a dedicated professional to lead the way.

This position will provide full level of support and related assistance across the continuum of the Business Development process. The position will report to senior management principals and will play an integral role in executing the Company’s business and strategic growth initiatives.

Location:

This position is not remote. An applicant must be willing to travel to the office located in Fairfield, NJ.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform lead administrative work in support of the BD/Capture/Proposal team.
  • Create, manage, and maintain key databases, including maintenance of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
  • Organize and maintain electronic share drive files
  • Conduct internet searches to find needed information
  • Assist with creating a competitive advantage by differentiating Solar Cents’ goals in the market.

 

Desired Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience on a team with pipeline development, pursuit identification and the process preferred.
  • Successful at research, analytics, and industry insights to help describe strategic value.

 

Capability:

  • Excellent communication skills, high level of motivation, and creativity
  • Self-initiation and flexibility to teammates
  • Strong skills working with both internal and external proposal resources

 

Technical Proficiency:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Google Docs, and Go High Level (CRM)

You record and report data on our campaigns’ performances and use those metrics to guide decisions for future ads.
